The Ukrainian-American artist YEV reached out to us to create two music videos. The song “Motherless Child” deals with themes surrounding the war in Ukraine and the children left orphaned and abandoned because of this conflict. We wanted to convey the emotional cruelty tied to conflict and how a child’s innocence represents hope for the future. We headed out into the woods and lit the scene at dusk. The entire video is shot in slow motion, giving it a dreamlike feeling that blurs the lines between thought and reality.
